First Dog Bite

sup fam and friends!

so this week was awesome. we confirmed the two people we baptized last sunday, thier names are misayel and dalma. we are working on this guy whos name is juan. he is so smart its rediculous. hes a physcologist and has been studying religions for the past 5 years of his life. we started meeting with him a few weeks ago and he has read the whole book of mormon, all the pamphlets, and pretty much knows more than i do haha. i can see him being a bishop within a year after getting baptised easy. but thats if he gets baptized. i got bit by two dogs this week, one on the leg and the other he tried to swallow my hand whole. im loving it here, we walk like 12 miles a day, and eat just about all the pasta in the world for lunches. they have their main meal of the day as lunch here so thats when we eat with the members. the one house made 10 pizzas and told us we had to finish them all. other houses they will just keep offering food until your unbuttoning your pants your so full, and its not ever the best tasting food. the elders who have been here a while say that they stopped caring about what things taste like and just vacuum things down until they are full. im making all sorts of memories here already. after this life the only personal things you take with you are your memories, so i think that i want to live my eternity with good memories that i will look back on and be proud of, to look back and regret things would just suck for all time. also ive decided that there is no other choice for me other than the celestial kingdom. i wanna make my own worlds and live forever always progressing and have a huge posterity. in the other kingdoms you dont get to have posterity, you cant create worlds without number, and you cant progress past a certain point. that sounds lame and just boring. so thats my new goal :) love you all. peace out, elder hayden summers

Dejavu and Bird Poop

hey everyone!
so argentina is just mobbin life here. i had two baptisms on sunday and they were lagit. also i still am very lost in the language, if you were wondering. but improving always so thats fun stuff. if you have never deep fried hot dogs before you are missing out, but be careful cuz the oil will burn the stuff out of your pinky finger if your not careful, believe me i know. the time is going by faster now i think. ive been here for a month or so and the lifestyle is sort of starting to set in. the cool thing here is that when we go out to work we have a plan of what to do and most times it falls through and we are left with our back up plan, which then falls through also and we just do whatever we think we should. its all whatever we think would be best, sometimes we walk and just turn down random roads and end up finding an awesome family that would just except us in to talk about Christ. yup its sick. so i got pooped on by a bird. thats some new info for you to wrap your heads around, haha, just a direct hit right on top of my head. i couldnt wash it off for another 5 hours so i did work with crappy hair. but its all good. i love it here. for some reason things feel right. deja vu is happening to me all the time here. i think you get deja vu when you are living your life the way that the Lord wants you too. its cool. sometimes i try to change my deja vu haha. it never really works cuz when i try to change it it just turns out being exactly what i had seen before. one thing to never forget is that you can do anything that is impossible. like the great ricky bobby said, shake and bake. i love you all. have a week that you will always remember this week. peace! elder hayden summers

Hey There America!

hey there america!
so this week was intense. i got sick on tuesday like really bad, all of the above was happening to me. so i slept that day, slept all wednesday which was nice haha but i was sick so twas bitter sweet. then thursday morning some people in the office had to go home cuz their kid was having a really rough time at home alone. the missionaries were a senior couple fyi. why am i telling you this? because when they left the office that left two spots in the finances of the entire mission completely empty. so pres lindahl yanked two missionaries who could do his finances for him out of their area. then promoted a missionary to a zone leader, which left two missionaries without comps. so pres. called in me and my comp and split us up. so now im with my second trainer and he is lagit. he plays sports and is cool and loves to win. he got baptized when he was 18 and went on a mission when he was 19. so he has been on his mission longer than he has been a member of the church haha. i moved into a different house too. there are 10 elders living in it because our house in our area is taken by sister missionaries for the moment. every morning we take a half hour bus ride to our area, work all day, then half hour back to sleep. this week we should move into the new house and just mob it up there. im pumped and having a lot more fun now. language is still bleeeerrrrg but itll come some day!! love and miss you all. keep your chins up cuz out there in the world is someone who is having a harder time than you. and they are making it through life so why cant we :) okay take it easy, be safe and awesome and just peachy, love elder hayden summers

Growing Super Mega Fast

hey errbody!
mendoza is still pretty scorching hot if you were wondering or doubting that fact at all. i am going to try and pull of the utlimate farmers tan and make it look good! haha yeah right.. but im starting to kinda love it here. every now and then we have some delicious food and other times i drink water where stuff is swimming around in it. people here drink as a family usually out of the same cup, not sure if it is very sanitary but they sure do like to share! every house we go into they want to give us juice or something and we always say yes cuz well its polite and also i am secretly wanting them to ask cuz im parched 80 percent of the time. im not going to lie, this is the hardest thing ive ever done.. i look back at the hard days on the fishing boat or in football or bball practices and would take that in place of an easy day here. but hey the great amazing part is that this is what the lord wants of me and ill be turned into a baptizing machine by the time im about to leave, hopefully sooner haha but hey whatever God wants is gonna happen :) and he will never want bad things to happen to his children so if you do what he asks then he has no choice but to bless you in the ways that you require. but only if we are being good boys and girls will we recieve every blessing that he intends for us. ive kinda learnt that sometimes the hard times are a blessing as well. maybe the trip to the best fishing hole is rough and dangerous, but once you get there it is totally worth it :) thats my cheesy fishing analogy for the day haha. i cant wait to get a baptism and understand what people are saying and all that good stuff, they say after 4 weeks out here you can start to understand what is going on then after 4 months here you can fluently speak to people, i cant wait for that haha. but right now im doing all that i can and trying my best to do His will so i can grow super mega fast. i love and miss you all. i pray for you everyday and hope that you will be safe and have fun and enjoy life. peace out untill next time. love elder summers.
